Sooooooo. Michigan was good. It was nice to see the family again before I go away forever. Polish food = delicious.

When I got back, I finally saw The Dark Knight with Kyle on the IMAX. It was just a giant mind fuck. I was completely blown away. And I just want to say:

I convinced the parentals to go see it, so we all went together a few days ago. They were very impressed. People keep saying it left room for a third one, and I suppose I agree with that. But in Newsweek's interview with Chris Nolan, he said this:

Christian has expressed enthusiasm for doing a third "Batman" with you. How about it?
"All I can say is that, when we finished the first film, I didn't have any intention of doing a second one. And this time, I really tried to put everything that I ever wanted to see in the Batman story into this film. I wanted to make a great sequel, because there are very few great sequels. Really, I'm thinking only "Godfather: Part II" and "The Empire Strikes Back." " [ http://www.newsweek.com/id/145508/page/1 ]

So. We shall see?

I've been watching Mad Men all week. Season 2 premiered on Sunday, and it was great. It's going to be a good season. Season 1 is actually downloading right now. Torrents ftw.

This weekend I'm going to New Mexico. As much as I hate that state, I'm pretty excited. The weather will be great, and it will be nice to just get away for a few days, spend some time with friends, etc. I leave in about twenty days for Mizzou. I'm excited, but at the same time kind of apathetic about the whole thing right now. It's going to be a huge change, and I think that's finally beginning to register.

La la la. I feel very...random.

My brother & I are playing Resident Evil 4. It's been a lonnng time since I've played this game. I was watching E3 the other day, and I can't wait for RE5. March is so far away. =( Maybe I'll get LIVE by then. We'll see. Playing Live while in college? Probably not a good idea for me.

I'm annoyed, and I'll tell you why. I've been looking forward to The Dark Knight since Batman Begins came out. Now, I won't get to see it until four days after it comes out because I'm going to Michigan this weekend to visit family. Great planning, mom.

I am going to see Hellboy 2 tomorrow. del Toro ftw! It better be good.

I'm excited for Twilight the movie and for Breaking Dawn. I would love to reread all of the books before August first, but I doubt that will happen. I've got too many books on my list already.

Me me me. I I I. That's all I ever talk about. I guess it is my blog, but whatever. I should find something interesting and share it. When I do, I'll let you know.

Oh. I can't seem to get over how bright and cheery my layout is. I need to change that.

=( So much for my updating goal. Oh well. I will try. It's not like I have anything else to do. I haven't worked at the hotel in weeks. We've been completely dead. It should pick up in July (I hope). I've been working at my mother's work during the week doing random secretarial stuff.

I am ready for college. I can't take the monotony anymore. I need a new location, new people, and a new routine. August seems so far away. But, next weekend I have Summer Welcome, or orientation. I will get to meet my roommate Monica for the first time. I'm excited. =)

Nicole, Liane, & I learned "Thriller" last week. It's amazing. That dance is so much harder than it looks. We have a nice following of about ten to fifteen people that we are going to teach it to. Then we plan on going to random places throughout town and performing it while in full zombie regalia. It will be fun.

I was in Europe this time last year. Madrid to be exact. I miss it so much. =( Those were some great times.

Three weeks without updating -and I started off so well.

So not a whole lot has happened lately. Nicole flew home last weekend for the musical. The musical was good, and we had fun. We had an epic hide-and-go-seek game going on at 2:00 in the morning. Pictures of that are on Facebook.

I got my Student Aid Report from Mizzou. I am getting some loans. Woo. At least we don't have to worry about money anymore.

The weather has been crazy. It's rained all week. We are out of school today because of the flooding. Crazy Oklahoma weather.

I have essays to write, and I really shouldn't procrastinate...but it's just so damn tempting. Maybe if I just get one done today, right?

Prom is on the 19th. I'm already sick of it. I think everything is done -my dress, shoes, etc. I think it will be fun, but we shall see.

Perhaps I'll play some video games today.

Second post in a row. We are making progress.

Today has been fantastic. Well, it just started being fantastic. I woke up at 9:15, picked Nicole up at 10:00, ate some Panera, and then drove to my mother's work to organize basement files. Sounds exciting, no? It actually wasn't too bad despite the fact that I'm going to be working on this basement project for weeks.

Then we went to the lovely Hong Kong Buffet and indulged in some Chinese cuisine. It has nice carved dragons in the front. Very welcoming. We chatted for about an hour 1/2 and then left. We are hanging out later tonight I believe. It's nice to have my best friend home even if it's only until Thursday.

You know, technology is a truly wonderful thing. Without it, I wouldn't have found my Mizzou roommate, Monica, and I wouldn't be meeting people on my dorm floor in March.

That's where I will be living for at least my first year. It's incredibly exciting. It's weird to talk to people that I will be meeting in a matter of months. I think it will be an odd meet-and-greet, but it'll be very refreshing to know some people in a school of 25,000.

I joined the Convergence Journalism FIG (Freshmen Interest Group). I think it will be amazing, but right now that's only speculation. Everyone seems awesome so far. I'm just ready for this year to be over. End already, please!

Getting used to LJ has been really weird. I'm trying to remember all of this magical HTML biz I used to master on here.

Until tomorrow - or until something worth writing about happens, Adios.

Oh jeez. [Monday

I love LJ, and frankly, I miss it. I'm not quite sure why I stopped getting on here, but I'm sure it had something to do with my Facebook obsession, work, and school. I'm making it my St. Patrick's Day Resolution to start getting on here more.

I've been in this crazy organizational mood lately, therefore, here are my guidelines (to myself?):

I will blog at least three times a week.
I will post more pictures.
I will join AND participate in more communities.
My posts will not be boring (Oh the irony...)
Oh. And I've decided to make this public. I'm not quite sure why, but there it is.
